Louise Cogan
Louise Cogan - Owner/Founder of Cocoon Medical Spa
Louise Cogan is the founder of Cocoon Medical Spa and a pioneer of medical tourism in Asia.
In 2004, Louise founded Gorgeous Getaways, which grew to become the largest medical tourism company in Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia, supporting more than 4,000 clients before she successfully sold the business in 2011.
Building on this experience, Louise went on to create Cocoon Medical Spa, which has since grown into 8 wellness spas across three countries — Bali, Bahrain, and Italy. Cocoon was created to challenge the traditional, fragmented approach to aesthetics and wellness by treating the body as a whole.
What makes Cocoon different is its holistic, inside-out philosophy. Each clinic integrates aesthetics, wellness, weight loss, detox, surgical services, regenerative treatments such as stem cell therapies, and biohacking technologies, allowing every client to be supported through a fully personalised health and transformation journey. The goal is not simply to change how clients look, but to help them feel better, function better, and live their best life.
Cocoon’s philosophy is reflected in its name and identity — the caterpillar transforming within the cocoon into a butterfly. It represents transformation through a safe, nurturing environment, where real change happens gradually, with care and intention.
Louise’s expertise lies in concept creation, clinic development, and innovative brand strategy, with a strong focus on long-term client relationships. She believes sustainable success comes from exceptional customer experience, high-quality and accessible services, and strong client loyalty.
Louise holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
