Dida Gardera, S.T., M.Sc. - Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs

Dida Gardera, S.T., M.Sc. is a high-ranking Indonesian civil servant currently serving as the Expert Staff for Connectivity and Service Development and the Acting Deputy for Coordination of Industry, Manpower, and Tourism at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Born in Bandung in 1970, he holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics (LSE). He has achieved the rank of Pembina Utama Madya (Golongan IVd) within the Indonesian government.


His career is marked by significant leadership in environmental policy and economic coordination. He has served as a lead negotiator for Indonesia at the UNFCCC and was a Coordinating Lead Author for the UN's Global Environment Outlook (GEO-6) for the Asia and Pacific region. Additionally, he played a central role as a technical coordinator for the environmental sections of the Job Creation Law (Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja) and held a strategic position in the national COVID-19 vaccination program.


Beyond his government roles, Dida is actively involved in professional and social organizations. He served as the General Chairman of the ITB Environmental Engineering Alumni Association (IATL ITB) from 2017 to 2021 and currently sits on its Board of Trustees. His contributions have been recognized with national honors, including the Satya Lencana 10-year and 20-year service awards from the Indonesian government.
