Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani

Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani currently serves as a dedicated lecturer at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, under the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. This role follows the completion of her distinguished 30-year career as a Government Official, where she last held the prestigious position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism from 2019 to 2024.

Throughout her extensive career, she has garnered vast experience in managing international tourism cooperation and high-level governmental meetings. Her expertise has been pivotal in various forums, including the UN Tourism Regional Commission for Asia and the Pacific, UNESCO, WTTC, APEC, PATA, and numerous ASEAN Ministerial meetings, as well as bilateral sessions with partner countries.

A passionate advocate for inclusive and sustainable development, one of her recent landmark initiatives was creating the "Guideline of Women-Friendly Tourism Village" (Pedoman Desa Wisata Ramah Perempuan) and a series of books on "Inspirative Women in Indonesia Tourism Destinations." Her professional interests are sharply focused on sustainable tourism, women's empowerment, and cross-cultural communication.

In addition to her academic and governmental roles, Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani is a certified GSTC Sustainable Tourism auditor since 2021. She is also an active member and former committee member of the Association of Indonesia Women High-Level Leaders and serves as a respected advisor to the Indonesia Chapter of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI), continuing to shape the future of tourism in Indonesia and beyond.
