Dr. Diah Permana Tirtawati, MBA is the Co-founder and Director of Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo, a tourism professional with over 25 years of experience in the MICE and international tourism sectors. Born and raised in Bali, she is passionate about sustainable tourism and deeply committed to advancing her island as a world-class, community-driven destination. She studied tourism in Austria and later earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Management and Marketing in Germany, followed by a Doctorate in Tourism at Udayana University, Bali. Her doctoral research focused on sustainable conference management for post-pandemic recovery. As co-founder of PT Melali MICE and PT Melali Bali, she has successfully led national and international events and built strong global networks. Her research on green-hybrid conference models has been published in a SCOPUS-indexed journal. She is certified in MICE management and fluent in English and German. She continues to champion responsible tourism and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global tourism landscape.
